History

After working in the arts for over a decade, Robert Overton Jones founded Overton Arts in 2018. In the subsequent years, Overton Arts developed a reputation for its unique picture frames, unparalleled service, and arts advocacy. In 2023, the company was rebranded as Mangoe Arts in reference to Robert’s longstanding art pseudonym “Mangoe”, better aligning the brand with its focus on the arts community.

Craftsmanship

Mangoe Arts regularly consults with artisans and craftsmen in adjacent practices, as we develop new techniques and products. We are career arts professionals, and see our continued education and development as core principles that help to ensure constant evolution of the brand, and our growth as individuals.

Community

We believe the value of small businesses is rooted in their connection to the communities they exist in. In addition to organizing and participating in a number of community focused events, Mangoe Arts advocates for equitable arts funding in the city, and has fiscally supported a number of charities, arts organizations, and independent artists within the Nashville area, to the tune of over $15,000 as of 2025.

Future

Moving forward we strive to continue honing our skills, expanding our own line of hand crafted picture frame designs, and pursuing more adventurous artistic endeavours. We believe in the importance of cultural traditions and want to invest in a new generation of craftsmen to build upon these traditions, and continue passing them down to future generations.
